Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields, the creators of Proactiv® Solution, launched Rodan + Fields Dermatologists to extend their vision of bringing dermatology based skincare solutions to everyone.

Dr. Rodan and Dr. Fields have chosen one of the fastest growing industries to introduce their latest products into giving them access to consultants around the country to market these prestigious products they have a passion for.

Rodan and Fields is a company created by two dermatologists who were trained at Stanford University. These two dermatologists found there were many treatments for common skin issues that were just not available on the US market. They also determined that people suffering from various types of skin disorder were very self-conscious and generally unhappy. Rodan and Fields created a line of acne fighters that were available without a prescription (their first product offerings were prescription only) and they’ve kept going from there.

The Rodan and Fields official website shows many categories of skin care products but under the Anti-Age line, they offer a small assortment. There is the Anti-Age Night Recovery Cream, Multi-Function Eye Cream, and Night Renewing Serum, as well as a sunscreen, wash, and toner. These products can all be purchased separately, but there is also an Anti-Age Regimen which includes the toner, wash, and sunscreen in a set.
The official website contains a lot of information about the company and also has a glossary, common questions area, and posted success stories. You can choose to become a preferred customer as well, which gives you free shipping, discounts, and special offers.

Advantages: Rodan and Fields was created by Stanford trained dermatologists who have experience behind them. The market due to sun damage from the baby boomers is growing as there is more information available. . It’s estimated that over 100 million people in the U.S. suffer from sun damage. The clinically proven REVERSE Regimen—Rodan + Fields’ solution to sun damage, offers you the opportunity to take advantage of this immense consumer market.
There is also a proven market fo the product as Proactiv has shown.

These are dermatological multi-med grade products that when compared to Obaje, thie main competitor, it is 3x less expensive (Obaje is $300-500/regimen), and you can get it over the counter not just at the dermatologists office.  They are FDA approved with an OTC license.

Disadvantages: This is a startup so they don't have the long history yet.  There have been a couple of startups such as Seriesse (Jennifer and Sylvester Stalone) that tried to do the same things but had difficulties along the way.

Their product not inexpensive so you need to know what makes this product better than others on the market.  The Anti-Age Regimen which is a toner, wash, and sunscreen is $160 so you better know your market and who your customer is in this tight economy. The Anti-Age Regimen set contains a toner, wash, and sunscreen but the products don't really contain many proven wrinkle fighter.

Field Training & Support: The back office, called Pulse, is incredible. It has everything you need to know about the products, the company and running your business.  There are scripts for cold calling, warm market and 3-way.  There are advertisement language to follow and a strong commitment from leaders to train new consultants.  They have a 30-day start up plan with check lists and the consultants are strongly encouraged to walk their new consultants through the process and dedicate at least 10 hrs/week to the business.

Products/Services:
The Anti-Age line from Rodan and Fields contains a few different products, but one that stands out is the Anti-Age Night Recovery Cream. This product claims to moisturize, repair cellular damage, retain water, and also boost your skin’s natural collagen production. Out of all of the Rodan and Fields products, this one contains the most ingredients so it is a good product to look at first.

Compensation Plan:

A Consultant Status-

  • A consultant retains there income earning status by maintaining $100 in Sales volume (SV) per month from personal purchase (CRP-Consultant Replenishment Program) and or retail customers. This will ensure a paycheck each month.
  • When enrolled in CRP, this ncludes your 2 Pulse Websites (Pulse Websites- $24.95):
  • $20 is paid towards your pulse/2 websites…the remaining $80 is spent on product. Your credit card will    be charged an additional $4.95/mo for the remaining website cost.
  • Look at your $100 requirement each month as “the cost of doing business.” Or as some CPS consider "Franchise Fee".

***Note: Preferred Customers (PC) do not count towards the $100***

Commission received as a Consultant:

  • 10% off your personal recruit’s sales volume (SV)- This would include a new enrollment’s kit of $395 or $695 ,their own personal orders, and their retail customers.
  • 30% commission on the wholesale volume from PC preferred customers
  • 25% commission on the wholesale volume off retail customers
  • *Note! All commissional volume FOR CUSTOMERS are based on the wholesale volume of 25% less retail or the exact retail price that a preferred customers pays. i.e: A Preferred Customer buys a Reverse Regimen of $160. They receive 10% off as a PC, paying $144. You will make the appropriate commission based on the $144 less 25% = $120 Wholesale Commissional Volume.
  • *Note! All commissional volume for RECRUIT’S KITS based on an arrived corporate volume due to heavily discounted kit price: $695 business recruit kits are 13.74% less the discounted retail price = $600 Commissionable Volume. $395 business recruit kits are 25.4% less the discounted retail price = $300 Commissionable Volume.

Commission received as a Executive Consultant:

Executive Consultant: Independent Sales Representative who earn commission on their direct sales as well as commissions from sales their down line and their down line’s ENTIRE VOLUME/ SALES.

  • An Executive  Consultant Status- and higher retains there income earning status by maintaining $100 in Sales volume (SV) per month from personal purchase (CRP-Consultant Replenishment Program) and or retail customers. This will ensure a paycheck each month.

How to become and Executive Consultant;

  • Maintaining $100 in volume per month, as per a regular consultant through Consultant
  • Replenishment program (CRP) or your personal wholesale orders at 25% less retail and or your retail customers.
  • Maintaining $600/month in commissionable Volume (CV) on your PSL1V (Personally Sponsored Level 1 Volume)

There are 3 ways to earn Executive Consultant (EC) status each month:

  1. $600 wholesale sales volume through Preferred Customers (roughly 5 Preferred Customers)
  2. Recruiting 1 consultant with the $695 kit and or 2 consultants with the $395 kits.
  3. Combination of kits as well as PC customers.
  4. Personal orders from your frontline and their retail customers.- Your frontline consultant’s crp orders and or any personal wholesale orders along with their retail customers.
